Slots for hosting your own Innovation Festival event are filling up fast

Innovation Festival 2024

Spaces to host a Leicestershire Innovation Festival 2024 event are filling up fast.

Businesses and organisations can stage an event as part of a packed programme – but must act quickly.

Only 20 slots are available – and the LLEP has already had more than 13 expressions of interest in staging events.

Potential hosts are encouraged to submit proposals for how their event will add to the fortnight-long festival’s schedule.

Next year’s festival is aiming to be the biggest and best yet – building on the success of 2023.

Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL, Chair of the LLEP’s Innovation Board, said:

“We’re aiming to significantly build on the success of the 2023 festival and planning is well underway.

“Discussions are advancing with Reach and a host of other public and private organisations for sponsorship.

“We’re actively developing ideas and growing partnerships to make the 2024 festival our biggest yet.”

Leicestershire Innovation Festival is organised by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).

It is an annual celebration of ideas and improvements in businesses of all sizes operating in the region – and has been growing in popularity since it was first staged in 2018.

The LLEP has confirmed that the 2024 festival will run from Monday 5 February to Friday 16 February.

Hosting an event offers organisations the opportunity to showcase their own innovation, while also sharing practical tips and advice for helping other businesses grow, adapt, and operate more productively.

The fortnight will include the flagship LeicestershireLive Innovation Awards – run by festival media partner Reach PLC – on the evening of Thursday 15 February.

Last year’s festival was the biggest to date, attracting 1,200 registrations across around 20 events.

The flagship LeicestershireLive Innovation Awards – led by Reach – was also the biggest to date.
