LLEP Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to content published on the www.llep.org.uk domain.

ME LLEP ESIF Logos

This website is run by Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership Limited (LLEP), although the LLEP is a private company, and is not subject to Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018, we want as many people as possible to be able to use our website.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colour, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and Voiceover)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible is this website?

Our website has been built to version 2.1 AA standard compliance for accessibility.  We try hard to maintain a high standard for accessibility and have checked all the downloadable documents.  Some of the documents were not created by the LLEP so we may have been unable to obtain a fully accessible version.  If you find any document that you cannot access, please let us know.

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible. For example:

  • some document attachments are not clearly written
  • some tables do not have row headers
  • some heading elements are not consistent
  • some images do not have good alternative text
  • some error messages are not clearly associated with form controls
  • many documents are in PDF format and some are not fully accessible to screen reader software.
  • some video streams do not have captions

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents

Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs with information on how users can access our services, and forms published as Word documents.

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. For example, we do not plan to fix historical financial information.

Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.

Live video

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
