LBF 1200 x 630

A host of events are scheduled as part of Leicester Business Festival 2023

The ninth annual festival kicked off this morning at the University of Leicester’s Space Park.

Leicester Business Festival is an annual, two-week festival featuring free business events in Leicester and Leicestershire.

Anyone can attend, and all the events are run by local organisations, businesses and entrepreneurs.

This year there are more than 70 free-to-attend events – with more than 1,000 spaces already booked.

The LLEP’s Digital Skills Partnership lead, Dr Ismini Vasileiou, will host an event focussed on UK digital strategy.

Dr Vasileiou’s event at De Montfort University Leicester will provide insights for businesses on enhancing or retraining their workforces and identifying fresh talent.

Digital Skills leads will also outline methods for collaborating with local educational and training institutions, emphasising emerging prospects like T Levels and Digital Apprenticeships.

Delegates will:

  • Access valuable insights on the benefits of enhancing digital skills for businesses;
  • Learn about effective ways to collaborate with educational institutions and tap into emerging prospects;
  • Learn to lay the foundation for a future-proof strategy by identifying current and future digital skill needs.

The Digital Skills Partnership’s work is funded from the LLEP Growing Places fund to address digital poverty and encourage digital growth to support post-pandemic economic recovery.

Tickets for the event are free.

Other events include workshops and talks about marketing, growth, law and finance, productivity, AI and leadership.
