Creative businesses get funded investment readiness support

East Midlands Create Growth

Businesses which have completed the Create Growth programme have signed up to an investment readiness course.

Companies from the first cohort of the £1.3 million East Midlands Create Growth programme  have been offered 12 hours of fully-funded support.

It will be delivered in the new year in a two-day workshop led by Lincolnshire Business Angels.

And it will help creative firms assess their investment readiness status, as well as providing advice on available funding sources and how to apply.

The course will be specifically tailored towards businesses in the creative sector.

The first cohort of creative businesses completed the regional Create Growth programme in October, with applications now open for the second cohort.

The Government funded programme offers support to accelerate business growth, create jobs, and prepare for investment.

It is now accepting applications from high-potential creative businesses, after securing £1.3 million of Government funding.

Led by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), the consortium leads the Create Growth Programme across Leicester and Leicestershire, Derby and Derbyshire, Greater Lincolnshire, and Rutland.

It is backed by a coalition of partners including regional universities, Innovate UK, local businesses, and non-profit organisations.
