East Midlands Create Growth roundtable

There’s just over a week to go until Innovate UK’s investor roundtable event.

The discussion, being held as part of the East Midlands Create Growth programme, will explore the challenges and investment opportunities in the creative industries.

The aim of the roundtable event is to increase understanding of what needs to be done to drive investment into the sector regionally and nationally.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • connect with regional investors and key stakeholders
  • explore innovative new projects and investment opportunities
  • discuss challenges within the creative sector.

Other targeted funds and activities, such as Creative Catalyst and Investor Partnerships, will also be on the agenda.

The in-person event takes place at Dubrek Studios, Bridge Street, Derby, on Thursday 30 November from 12.30-4.30pm.

The DCMS East Midlands Create Growth programme is led delivered by East Midlands Creative Consortium (EMC²).

The first cohort of creative businesses have completed the programme, and applications have opened for the second cohort.

The Government funded programme offers intense support to accelerate business growth, create jobs, and prepare for investment.

It is now accepting applications from high-potential creative businesses, after securing £1.3 million of Government funding.

Led by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), the consortium leads the Create Growth Programme across Leicester and Leicestershire, Derby and Derbyshire, Rutland, and Greater Lincolnshire.

It is backed by a coalition of partners including regional universities, Innovate UK, local businesses, and non-profit organisations.

Businesses can register interest in the Create Growth programme via the EMC² website.
