Harborough

Harboroughdistrict covers an area of 238 square miles in the rural south and east of Leicestershire. 

The population in 2016 was estimated at 90,300. Much of the district’s population lives in the market towns of Market Harborough and Lutterworth and in the large villages of Broughton Astley, Great Glen, Kibworth and Fleckney.  A relatively high proportion of the district’s population lives in small rural settlements. 

The district has a very attractive rural environment and a rich cultural heritage, with a growing tourism sector visiting attractions such as Foxton Locks and Market Harborough itself. 

The district is home to Magna Park, one of the largest dedicated strategic logistics parks in the UK, where large businesses have their regional or national headquarters, for example, DHL, Walmart and George.
