The LLEP is keen to raise awareness of the array of local industries and employers across the area, to help young people with informed career decisions.

There is a growing variety of area labour market resources, and new offers linked to the Careers Hub and Local Skills Improvement Plan; exciting developments will be announced in the near future!

The resources and wider work done across the LLEP Skills team and Careers Hub (on areas like digital skills, apprenticeships, and education-business links) are part of an area skills strategy, supported by partnership work from organisations such as: area skills providers, DWP, local authorities, districts, universities and both the voluntary and community sector. The overall aims are to raise levels of area skills, increase productivity and to help employers to address their skills gaps.
