Taking home an award this week in recognition of their achievements were two young people from the Leicester and Leicestershire area who have been hard at work on their apprenticeships.
The event, held at Kind Power Stadium on Friday November 4 saw two winners with close associations with apprenticeships and the LLEP: Parris Small who has been part of the LLEP’s apprenticeship ambassador group since May 2022. Winning the Apprentice of the Year 2022 at the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards and, Jessica Gould who is on an apprenticeship at CR Civil Engineering Ltd winning the Apprentice of the Year Award, at the East Midlands Chamber Awards for Leicester sponsored by Loughborough College.

This is large community consisting of employers, organisations such as University’s and the East Midlands Chamber. As well as the dedicated work as part of the Careers and Enterprise Company and the LLEP to make apprenticeships more approachable and reflected in a positive light. Having Apprenticeship Ambassadors win awards such as this is a fantastic way of showcasing what those on apprenticeships can do, serving as a point of inspiration.
