Leicester Business Festival (LBF) has recently gained support from several key local businesses, joining forces to help encourage local business growth and showcase the work of the region.
Running from 8 to 18 November, the LBF champions five main themes: Resilient Innovation; Sustainability and Connectivity; Perception; People; and Growth. Events can either be digital, physical or a mix of both with a hybrid approach.
The Festival has always been supported by the local business community and showcases the innovative work that is happening in the region. This support helps the LBF to get the extensive reach and impact that it does.
De Montfort University (DMU) is the LBF Headline Partner for the sixth year running and East Midlands Chamber has also been a key partner since it started in 2015. A recent sponsor is Pattersons Commercial Law, which has been involved with the LBF since 2019, whilst Leicestershire Business Voice (LBV) and Home-Fresh are the latest new organisations to pledge their support.
Jigna Varu (pictured below) is managing director of Home-Fresh, a company which supplies mould and bacteria prevention for homes and construction. She explained her reason for getting on board this year:
“Innovations are there to question industries and raise standards, like Home-Fresh. The construction industry lacks innovation and people just accept mould without being aware of the detrimental effects on health and wellbeing. The pandemic has highlighted what we’re surrounded by.
“With such a tough year behind us, we’re proud to be supporting the 2021 LBF. We’ve seen the event grow every year and it’s now time to focus on the wins, successes and new innovations of the region and really shed a positive light on Leicester.”
Leicestershire Business Voice (LBV) has joined the LBF for the first time and its annual dinner forms the closing event of the Business Festival.
LBV chair, Robin Pointon said,
“We’re delighted to welcome the Leicester Business Festival to our members’ dinner this year, celebrating 20 years of LBV. As an established, independent business group, we continue to provide a voice for our members within the local business community, so we share a real focus with the Festival and its aim of showcasing Leicester and Leicestershire as a great place for business.”
With restrictions easing, the events in November are going to be the perfect opportunity for the business community to reconnect. With events like the Leicester Business Expo, the Festival is going to help bring people back together after over a year with limited events and meetings.
