Enterprise Adviser Celebration and Networking Event!

Enterprise Advisors and members of the LLEP team at their CEC event

Last week, the LLEP Careers Hub team held their first face to face celebration event for Enterprise Advisers.

Enterprise Advisers work strategically to shape careers strategy in schools and colleges and help bridge the gap for pupils between education and the world of work. This is a far reaching network that continues to grow and develop with the work the LLEP Careers Hub Team carries out.

The event, hosted at local venue 2Funky Street Kitchen, celebrated the achievements and thanked Enterprise Advisers (EAs) for the valuable impact they are making in local schools and colleges. We also had an opportunity to welcome new Enterprise Advisers into the network.

Stewart Smith, Head of Skills at the LLEP said,

“Great event, a good opportunity to connect with local businesses and an excellent way to show our support for local and emerging talent from the hospitality and creative arts sector.”

Over 25 EAs, LLEP team members and managers from the Careers & Enterprise Company attended.  The event consisted of two excellent local performers, tasty food, speedy speed networking and items from our local business volunteers.

Angela Ellis, CEC Regional Lead said,

“The event was: A perfect way to welcome new EAs into the fold”.

This was a great event to pull off especially when you factor in the delays and issues that Covid caused with the planning. Originally it was scheduled in December last year.
